Islamabad polio drive intensifies with Assistant Commissioners’ field visits


ISLAMABAD, Nov 30 (APP): In a concerted effort to eradicate polio from the capital city, Assistant Commissioners and Magistrates of Islamabad on Thursday rushed to the streets to oversee the progress of the ongoing polio drive.

As the campaign entered its fourth day, these officials conducted field visits in various areas under their respective subdivisions, closely scrutinizing the micro-plans and target coverage of different areas, ICT spokesman Dr Abdullah Tabasum said while talking to APP.

Led by Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, the Assistant Commissioners and Magistrates engaged with polio teams, providing valuable guidance and ensuring that no stone was left unturned in reaching every child. Particular attention was given to addressing areas with high denial rates, collaborating with the police to maximize coverage and ensure that no child was missed.
