ISLAMABAD, Aug 12 (APP):Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar Monday chaired a meeting on the development and arrangements at Mazar Hazrat Bari Imam Complex.
The management committee reviewed the arrangements for the annual Urs of Hazrat Bari Imam.
Chaddar will be laid at the mazar on August 14 while the annual Urs of Hazrat Bari Imam would be held from August 15 to 17.
The Deputy PM directed that extraordinary security arrangements should be made on the occasion of Urs and asked administration and Capital Development Authority to provide shuttle service to the pilgrims.
He said completion of alternative road from the third avenue should be ensured to facilitate the pilgrims.
Facilities should be ensured for the pilgrims who would come to attend the Urs from different parts of the country and from across the world, he said adding special arrangements should be made for women pilgrims at the Hazrat Bari Imam Complex. The pilgrims should not face any inconvenience, he stressed.
The members of the committee including Khadim e Dargah Bari Imam Raja Sarfraz Akram, Mohsin Raza Naqvi and Sohail Iqbal Bhatti attended the meeting.
Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Deputy Commssioner Irfan Memon and officials of Ministry of Interior and others were also present in the meeting.
